2nd Annual Pick-a-Pumpkin Event at Verado
Few things speak fall like pumpkins and we had a truckload of them on hand for our 2nd annual Pick-a-Pumpkin event at the Verado Park. The air was crisp, but the sun was out for our homeowners and their guests to meet up in the southeast corner of the park, colorfully-decorated with cornstalks, hay bales and pumpkin garlands. We’ve found that decorating with pumpkins was not only fun but an easy way to make this section of the park look truly festive, and believe the same holds true on any scale, whether it’s a front porch or a table centerpiece. Everyone loves pumpkins!
We look forward to this event because it’s acasual way for homeowners to drop in and say a quick hello or linger a little longer if their schedules permit to meet some of their neighbors. Before selecting a pumpkin, everyone was invited to peruse our treat table, which was loaded with goodies including Buntinis® from Nothing Bundt Cakes and decorated cookies by Pastry Perfection.
The “Pumpkin Patch” itself consisted of a variety of pumpkins ranging from large to miniature, including several white pumpkins which were surprisingly popular, though no one went away empty-handed. Contemplating “just the right pumpkin” can sometimes require a lot of conversation and input. It was a fun evening and we believe our Verado homeowners are creating a fantastic community.
